What was damaged
This ski had a core shot near the edge. That kind of damage is more serious than a surface scratch because moisture can reach the core if it is left open.
How it was repaired
The loose and damaged base material was cleaned out first. New repair material was bonded into the area, then the repair was leveled so the base could sit flat against the snow again.

The base was resealed and smoothed out for better durability, moisture protection and more consistent glide.
