Frequently Asked Questions
Before your appointment
Quick answers for booking, drop-off, tuning and repair work.
What can you service?
Skis and snowboards. Common jobs include hot wax, edge tuning, base repair, core-shot repair, rust removal, binding adjustment and snowboard topsheet film.
Do I need to book first?
Yes. Service is by appointment only so each drop-off has enough bench time. Please book online or message first if you are unsure which service to choose.
How long does it usually take?
Most regular tune-up jobs are ready in about 24 hours. Larger repairs, heavy rust, structural work or busy periods may take longer.
What should I send before booking?
For damage repair, send clear photos of the base, edges and topsheet. A close photo and one full-board photo usually helps us recommend the right service.
How often should I wax?
If the base looks dry, white or slow, it is time to wax. Many riders wax every 3 to 5 mountain days, but snow condition and riding style can change that.
Can deep scratches or core shots be repaired?
Often, yes. Small gouges may be filled and leveled. Core shots or damage near the edge need inspection before the final repair plan and price are confirmed.
Can rusty edges be saved?
Most surface rust can be cleaned, sharpened and polished. Heavy rust can usually be improved, but badly pitted edges may not become perfect again.
Where is the workshop?
In Burnaby, BC. Exact drop-off details are provided with your appointment.
