Inspection comes first
Before a tune, the technician checks the base, edges, rust, wax condition and any previous repairs. The condition of each ski or snowboard determines the work that is useful.
Tools for the job
A workbench, edge tools, scrapers, brushes and waxing equipment support routine tuning. Base repair tools are used when gouges or core shots need filling. The choice of tool and repair method depends on the damage; the goal is a clean, controlled finish without unnecessary material removal.
What leaves the workshop
The published standard tune-up includes cleaning, edge care, hand hot wax, scraping, polishing and a final condition check. Deeper damage or structural repairs are assessed and quoted separately. Appointments are scheduled for drop-off at the Burnaby workshop.
