Base dryness, edge rust and small scratches are normal. The key is knowing when it is simple maintenance and when it needs service.
Look closely
Check for dry white base areas, rough edges, rust spots, burrs or deep gouges.
Feel the edge
Light surface marks are usually simple. Rough, pitted or deep rust needs more careful removal.
Service before it spreads
Wax and edge care protect the base and help prevent small issues from becoming expensive repairs.

If the edge feels rough after wiping it dry, send photos or book a tune-up.
